What Is York Community High School?
Located on South York in Elmhurst, York Community High School is a public secondary school serving students grades nine through twelve who live in primarily Elmhurst but also Bensenville, Oak Brook, and Addison. There are more than 2,500 Dukes, the school mascot, and it is our school district’s only high school, so you know what football team we are rooting for!
When such an important part of our community contacted us for LED monument signs for schools in Elmhurst, IL, we were excited to help out. York wanted a large sign that was distinguished yet modern. They also needed a way to share regularly updated information with parents and students alike. We had just the solution.
What We Did for York
During an initial consultation, we met with York and performed a site survey to see where they wanted to install their new sign. After taking some measurements and listening closely to their goals for the project, we recommended a monument sign with an LED message board. Once they approved the art proofs we provided them with, we got down to work.
Most of the work on the marker needed to be completed on-site. There was a fair amount of masonry work that we had to do. Once that was completed, we installed the LED message board. We were able to take care of every part of the sign-making process from securing sign permits to electrical work. In the end, York was completely satisfied with their new marker.
