The Patio Shines with an Illuminated Sign in Lombard IL

Illuminated Signs Chicago

If your venue is open at night, there are several factors you should take into consideration. You need to protect the safety of guests and employees by ensuring your parking areas have plenty of light. You also want your building to be simple to find after dark. This can be achieved when you install illuminated signs for restaurants in Lombard, IL. The Patio realized this so they contacted Vital Signs USA for channel letters.

What is The Patio?

With six locations across the Chicagoland area, The Patio started back in 1977 when owner John Koliopoulos bought a small piece of land in Bridgeview. His goal was to start a restaurant that serves delicious barbecue baby back ribs as well as other quality food. Today, his enterprise is a resounding success. They take pride in using the best-quality ingredients that are filler- and preservative-free and prepared fresh. They are known for their ribs, rotisserie chicken, sliced beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled turkey, soups, and hamburgers.

When such a successful eatery came to us for exterior signs for restaurants in Lombard, IL, we were delighted to be of assistance. The Patio wanted a way to make their Lombard location on South Highland Avenue stand out. Fortunately, we had just the solution.

What We Did for The Patio

As with any project we do, we first met with the management at The Patio to discuss what they had in mind for their signage and to check out their venue. Since they are open after dark every night, they wanted an illuminated sign that represented their existing branding. We suggested a channel letter sign. Once they approved the design, we began the fabrication process.

Our first step was to create aluminum “can” frames that perfectly matched the font used in “The Patio” logo. We then added car-grade white paint and a powder coat to the aluminum to ensure the sign would be protected from the elements. Next, we added acrylic faces to the letters. Each letter has LED lighting inside that shines through the letters. LEDs last for many years and save on electricity costs. We used the same process for the “BBQ * Sandwiches * Salads” portion of the sign using cut vinyl letters to spell out their offerings.

In the end, The Patio was thrilled with their new marker. Now, hungry diners can find them at any hour of the day or night.

We Have Illuminated Sign Options for Your Enterprise

There are several solutions to choose from when it comes to illuminated signs. A close cousin to channel letter signs is the lightbox cabinet. These markers essentially consist of one frame. They contain LED illumination within and an acrylic push-through face. Lightbox cabinets can be mounted on top of a pylon, used as a monument sign, or attached directly to the façade of your building. Reader boards and LED message boards are also popular alternatives when you have constantly updated information you need to share with the community.
