Recently, Vital Signs had the opportunity to participate in a third-party sign installation for restaurant chains in Chicago, IL. Jollibee is a Filipino fast-food chain that is now breaking into the Illinois market. A national sign manufacturer had been working with the company’s corporate headquarters to handle the signage. Our sign shop stepped up to work with the restaurant sign products locally.
Multiple Signage Products Set up the Brand for Local Success
Our shop worked with a national sign manufacturer to handle the sign installation at 5033 North Elston Avenue and 831 North Sedgwick Street. There were multiple product types that our installers mounted.
Building signs. The logo is the most recognizable aspect of the brand. Therefore, the client requested that we place a box cabinet with a custom shape and front on the buildings’ facades. Associated channel letters spell out the eatery’s name and tagline. When illuminated, they assist the other signs with branding and advertising.
Drive-thru signage. We installed clearance bars to the bottom of the drive-thru gates. This common practice prevents problems with trucks or vans that cannot make it through the clearance space. Once again, the sign company had manufactured these signs with the red on white print the brand is known for.
Ground-level directional signs. These lighted signs guide motorists to the entrance of the drive-thru. They are brand-centric and had to be spaced perfectly to be fully functional. You will notice that our team placed them at different places for each location.
Tenant panel. One of the venues has an attractive monument pylon sign that has room for all the tenants’ information. We added the Jollibee panel that identifies the brand with its red on white print. Because of the illumination, it stands out after dark.
Third-Party Sign Installations? Yes, We Do That!
Although Vital Signs is a full-service sign shop, we also assist our clients with selected aspects of the design, manufacturing, and installation process. For example, some business owners approach us with specs that they received from advertising agencies. Our technicians take them and transform them into signage that is ready for installation.
Similarly, we can work with signage that you already have one hand and install it at your location. We also work with sign companies in other parts of the country to handle local clients’ installations. This common practice ensures that these companies can take on national clients in places where they do not operate a shop or run a crew.
