Parishioners attend Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 430 North West Avenue. There, the congregation celebrates mass, receives the sacraments, and participates in various ministries. When the church’s committee reviewed its curb appeal, it noted that prospective visitors could have difficulty locating the venue. Therefore, they contacted our sign shop to design, produce, and install a sandblasted post and panel sign in Elmhurst, IL.
Visually Attractive Sign Greets Motorists and Pedestrians
We worked with the client on the design of a sign that would fit in perfectly with the residential neighborhood. At the same time, it is an attractive addition to the church’s frontage. The sign itself follows the post and panel construction, using two 6″ x 6″ posts and one board.
For the panel, we suggested the look of a sandblasted product. It creates an effect with three-dimensional depth since it allows the name and logo to jut out. Moreover, we were able to treat the background so that it resembles the use of wood. Finally, our technicians painted the sign in light blue with a dark blue frame and white letters as well as a border. The logo consists of an imprinted vinyl overlay to allow for gradient color changes and intricacies.
Sandblasted Signs? Our Sign Shop Does Them!
When we work with clients looking for memorable frontage signs in residential neighborhoods, we frequently recommend the design, production, and installation of sandblasted building signs, hanging boards, or post and panel signage. What makes this manufacturing method so suitable?
- Material selection. Choose the material you prefer. We recommend high-density urethane (HDU), which is a human-made product and withstands weather and insects. However, if you prefer, we can also work with wood such as cedar or redwood.
- Choose the 3D effect. Do you want your logo to stand out? Would you prefer your lettering to be the most noticeable element? Besides that, we can have both parts stand out. Our technicians design a mask that we apply to the material’s surface. Everything that it does not cover will be removed during the sandblasting process.
- Background and paint choices. Choose a finished look that works well for your brand. Examples include a wood grain replication or a leather-like finish. Some clients like to keep it smooth. Next, we paint the sign in your chosen colors. We gladly custom-match the paint to harmonize with other signage you already display on site.
